Tri-M National Music Honor Society

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for high school 

students. The purpose of this organization is to inspire music participation, create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire for community service, and promote leadership in the music students of Rocky Hill High School.  The three M initials in Tri-M stand for Modern Music Masters.  The organization is sponsored by NAfME:  National Association for Music Education. 

In order to be considered for membership, candidates must meet the following criteria:


  • Overall GPA of 2.75 or above

  • Enrollment in a school-sponsored music ensemble for a least one year 

              maintaining a 90 percent grade average or above 

  • Exceptional musicianship - audition before the music faculty is required

  • Leadership roles, community service, and character in both school and community will be considered
